Self Learning Resources
Please note that the self-learning courses are not accredited and that we cannot provide support for the free sessions. For comprehensive, accredited training with support from our training staff, please book online training for the modules of interest to you, on our training platform. If you do not have a trial or licensed version of the software, you can use the student version installation to get started with two courses below.
The Self-Learning Course
The student self-learning course teaches you to set up your design model from scratch.
Use the software alongside the videos to cover DTM Basics, Platform Design, Roads, Sewer, Storm and Water network design. Additional videos relevant to tertiary education assignments for students are also referenced.
On completing the course you will receive a certificate.
Civil Designer Student Installation
View this pdf for help with the installation. By installing the student version you agree that:- This version is for non-commercial purposes only.
- You understand that student projects cannot be converted to standard projects.
- You have a PC or laptop running Windows 10 or later, that meets the minimum system requirements .
- You have permission to install new software and have sufficient access privileges to do so.
Once installed, please note that you will need to request that we extend your trial license to a six month student license. Please email Nikki and attach a copy of your student ID so that we can authorise your license.
