New Features & Functionality

  • The maximum length of a surface name is increased to 512.
  • Quick Profile Viewer is a way of quickly viewing a section without having to run the Plot routine.
  • Crossing Lines Removal is a new function to remove crossing and collinear lines that prevent a surface from validating.
  • Cut and Fill Shading is a new Display Settings page and works with a surface generated from Ground Design/Difference.
  • Polygon Copy/Move now retains line information.
  • The terrain control panel now has a page for listing and interacting with terrain strings.
  • Select Points gets a shortcut button for the common case of selecting a surface.
  • Banks display settings now allows for bank line drawing on multiple surfaces.
  • Multiple functions that interpolate a height or extract a long section have been made to also interpolate from terrain strings and road strings.
  • Grade Point from Another now supports options for either grade or percentage input format, chained sequences and adding DTM lines.
  • Terrace banks and toeline strings can now choose what to do when cut and fill are both possible.
  • Graphical Elevation Tracking gets the ability to drop information as text or to print the information to the Output Bar.
  • String Volumes can now incorporate topsoil stripping and compaction factor.
  • Polyline to DTM given the choice of spacing mode for either the traditional use of contour conversion, or for detail conversion where every polyline vertex is also kept.
  • Terrace Volumes given the option of outputting results to a .csv file.

  • Functionality to draw Linear Road Furniture such as guardrails, barriers and fences.
  • Culvert Design functionality, using our current 'Crossing Services' system includes:
  • - Minimum cover checking.
    - Automatically add nodes at the intersections of the toe lines.
    - Automatically extract invert levels from the DTM.
    - Automatically insert a skew section if the crossing service crosses a road.
    - 3D Rendering with culvert wall thickness.
  • Insert, move and delete edge width control points from plan view (using selection nodes).
  • Sight distance calculations from graphically indicated eye and object positions for the use of sight distance checking at junctions.
  • Calculate sight distance by graphically indicating two points.
  • For the design of interchanges:
  • - Data can now be extracted from other road strings for portions of a horizontal and vertical alignment.
    - Junctions can be designed at very acute angles (eg. at ramp terminals)
  • Road Strings Shading and Contours: Add an option to only do this for the black-top carriageway.
  • Display cross section views and plots with filled road layerworks
  • Added a function to graphically move horizontal PIs along one of its tangents
  • In render view, render roads with textures.
  • In render view, render components with user defined textures.
  • Implement a database to store all road quantities
  • - Quantities of all roads can be viewed in a single table
    - ASCII output can be done via one table
    - Custom quantity reports
    - Easy detection of outdated quantities after a road has been changed
    - Quantities can be calculated for any road from the table
  • Implement a third Mini-Roundabout vertical grading option to drape the centre circle onto the main road.

  • Handle different node types.
  • - Addition of Node Type tables, similar to Link tables.
    - Accurate 3D rendering of the node structures.
    - Clash detection with manhole structures.
    - Automatic sizing of manholes.
    - Additional user defined fields.
  • Graphically set node angle from the angle of an indicated entity from the properties bar.
  • Include all relevant node, link and properties in the property bar. This is an extension of the user specified angle for the node symbol.

  • Implement Greenfields runoff calculations according to UK National SuDS standards. The user has the option to use either the IH124 or the FEH methods for the runoff calculations
  • Implement BRE365 soakaway design for the UK.
  • Include all relevant node, link and subcatchment properties in the property bar. This is an extension of the user specified angle for the node symbol

  • The pump curve editing window allows verification of the values entered in the data table on the pump curve graph
  • New air and scour valve spreadsheet. Valves can have custom names and can be sorted by routes.

  • In the SG toolkit it is now possible to edit the data list prior to drawing
  • Connection/servitude/indicatory data can be added to the SG Diagram data table before drawing
  • Select Same feature has been introduced
  • Jump to the centroid of any polygon
  • A portion of an image can now be exported as a new georeferenced image
  • Polar Drop function has been added
  • The Polar Repeat interface allows polar repeat increments using 2 points
  • Custom properties can now be added to the IFC Export
  • New materials and texturing options have been added
  • BS1192 naming standards have been implemented
  • Enhancements to Reality Mesh data loading
  • Improved Layer Visibility and Layer settings dialog
  • Import PDF functionality has been included
  • Print settings can be saved per drawing
  • When pasting CAD entities, current clipboard entities are included in the selection display.

  • BS1192 BIM file naming and sheet numbering is now included.
  • Add an option to display bell-mouth heights on plan plots, together with the junction setting out lists
  • A thousand unit separator control has been added to all Long section plots
  • A ruler style vertical axis is displayed on all Long Section plots
  • Table interface for all User defined Global Text before plotting, instead of prompting individually.
  • Plot both percentage and ratio slope values for Pipe Long Sections
  • Sewer and Storm plan lists have been updated to draw node type information
  • Plan coordinate lists are implemented for terrain strings
  • Sewer and Storm Long section plotting: Add an option to draw the nodes as per the Node Type definition.
  • Draw crossing services for Terrain Strings Long section plots.

Linear Road Furniture
Adding Bariers
Linear Road Furniture such as guardrails and barriers can be automatically created along a route simply by setting up a profile and allocating a defined path. This time saving feature eliminates the need to draw CAD entities and manipulate them in plan view so that they appear in the correct position when rendered.

Point to Point Sight Distance
Line of Sight
The line of sight between 2 points can be graphically displayed anywhere on your DTM, indicating a green line where the point to point sight distance is clear and red when it is obstructed. In render view, a tripod with extended sight line provides a visual representation of the line of sight between the specified points.

Acute Angle Junctions
Junctions can be designed at very acute angles as required for example at ramp terminals.

Automatic Culvert Design

The new automatic culvert design functionality includes minimum cover checking, nodes at the intersections of the toe lines, invert levels extracted from the DTM. A skew section is automatically inserted if the crossing service crosses a road. The 3D rendered culvert includes the wall thickness.

Banks display settings now allows for bank line drawing on multiple surfaces.

Cropped Georeferenced Image
Cropped Georeferenced Image
The cropped geo-referenced image functionality allows you to export part of a large image in your drawing to a JPG image file, with a corresponding 'world file'. This is useful for example when you want to send part of your project drawing for review without the large image (which may be many gigabytes).

The Import PDF function allows structured elements of a pdf document to be imported as CAD and bitmap entities.

Node Structures
3D rendering of the node structures
Node structures can now be rendered accurately. The node angle can also be set graphically from the angle of an indicated entity using the properties bar.
