Roads Strings Course (NEW)

We have an important NEW Roads String course to inform you about for our 2014 version. Knowing how to use this advanced yet easy to use functionality will take you to the next level by increasing your productivity nearly 100 times over!
  • Intersections can now be modelled within seconds.
  • Our intersection wizard has default South African standards built into it, thus ensuring it's not just any 3D model but a 3D model that meets the South African Engineering expectations.
  • Once a typical intersection has been created using the Civil Designer wizard, the setting can be saved and applied within seconds to other new intersections.
  • With the plot generate routine, a plan layout with setting out details can be produced, within seconds.
  • An existing modelled intersection can be edited using our wizard and changes are applied quick and easily.
  • The general time spent on an intersection, from "start" to "contractors setting-out drawing" is 3 minutes!

"Modelling an intersection in other software can take 3 hours or more, per intersection. Approximately another 2 hours is needed to manually harvest/ create points that drape the intersections DTM and then apply labels to the points, and then generate a table to setting-out details. CIVIL DESIGNER 2014 can BOTH Model the intersection AND produce construction drawings within seconds!"

The Roads Strings course will be covered over a single day only for clients that are already familiar with our 2011 / 2013 version and have been for training for the Roads module. For clients that have not been on our Roads training for these later versions, you will need to come on the full 2 day Roads course. This new course is going to be booked up really fast! We have already had over 400 clients express interest in it without us even advertising. Once clients have seen the 2014 Civil Designer demo in action, they want to start using the Strings functionality straight away!

Civil Designer 2014 to be released in July

Our 2014 version is starting to make consulting engineers reconsider what an infrastructure design package should actually be! Civil Designer 2014 brings some impressive enhancements with a strong focus on Roads and Bulk Earthworks design. We have also strengthened our Stormwater, Sewer and Water modules keeping them way ahead of the competition.

Civil Designer 2014 will give you the fastest urban road design program in the industry including intersections and traffic circles! Not only will you be able to design roads more easily, but you will still continue to design the way you do now, simply and easily reaping the benefits of the new design functionality.

GIBB IIG Standardizes on Civil Designer after assessing all other software

Our Civil Designer 2014 version was tested against all other competitor software packages in an intense showdown for GIBB. We are talking about a meeting of the heavyweights, and we found out that there is actually only 1 heavyweight in the industry, and that is Civil Designer which ranks number 1.

We not only completed the tests that GIBB requested, but also decided to show GIBB what our software is really capable of. We were able to explain impressive features that GIBB were not aware of and demonstrate functionality that they did not realise was even possible within the scope of infrastructure design software.

Contact us at and arrange for us to come and show you what your software can really do!

Double your usage by purchasing just one extra module

A big advantage with Civil Designer is the fact that by purchasing an extra copy of Design Centre you can maximise your usage of the software and have access to all the modules without having to purchase them all a second time. For example, if you own all 8 modules for one designer, all you have to do is purchase a second copy of Design Centre and you can have 2 designers accessing all of the modules.

You don't have to purchase the whole entire package again and double up on all modules, thereby costing you an arm and a leg. If you want to have 3 designers in your company designing, then you only need to own 3 copies of Design Centre and can split all the modules between the designers on one network dongle. One person can design using Roads, another with Survey and Terrain, and a 3rd can use the Sewer, Storm or Water module. If you need to have 2 of the designers working on Roads at the same time, then you will just need to purchase an additional Roads module on top of that.

This is a huge cost saving and is a benefit of true integration between design modules. We are after all, always thinking ahead on how we can help you.
