Welcome to the latest Civil Designer News

This is a busy time of year for most consulting engineers. With the final quarter of 2011 just around the corner it's all systems go to ensure the year is a winner for all of us. Knowledge Base looks forward to meeting clients and friends at the upcoming IMESA, CESA and SAICE events over the next few weeks for a social chat or a discussion about our software and your needs.

   75th IMESA Conference

The IMESA 2011 Conference (which also marks their Golden Jubilee of 75 years) will run from the 26th – 28th October at Birchwood, near to OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg. The event promises to be a momentous occasion with the theme 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' which will look back at the achievements of the past and provide insight into the future of municipal engineering in Southern Africa. This year looks to be the biggest IMESA conference to date and we look forward to seeing you there.

Gautrain Technical Tour
On the afternoon of the 27th October, the IMESA team have organised a Technical Tour which will include a ride on the Gautrain from Rhodesfield Station into Sandton. A guide will take delegates through interesting facts surrounding the whole project and explain how major challenges were overcome during its construction. If you've not already read how HHO handled their side of this project, using Civil Designer, have a look at the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link showcase published last year.

   CESA Golf Day

The Knowledge Base team will be at the CESA 2011 Presidential Golf Challenge, taking place on the 12th September 2011 at the Country Club Johannesburg, Woodmead & Rocklands courses. We will be making sure you have a great day and grab a drink and chat to us on the two holes we are sponsoring. Find out more about the event here.

   SAICE Golf Day

The SAICE Golf Day (East London) will once again be a 4-ball American Scramble, which gives everyone a chance to walk away with prizes. It is specifically designed for non golfers to participate. So come and join the festivities at this years’ SAICE GOLF DAY 2011 for a game of golf, festivities, entertainment, fun, drinks and eats along the way! We look forward to seeing you there on hole 3 that we are sponsoring. See
