INTELLIGENT BREAK-LINE GENERATION & FAST TRIANGULATION
Intelli-Line break line generation allows you to use cheap computer time to define the model features instead of slow and painful manual breakline definition. Thereafter fill in the rest of the site in a matter of seconds. Alternatively use the lightning fast triangulation option for more uniform sites.
CONVERT CAD LINES INTO FEATURE LINES
This function is used when you have CAD lines on top of your DTM model which you want converted to break lines. The DTM lines and points included in the model will then coincide with the CAD lines. The CAD lines could be from a drawing attached to the project or simply drafting that you have done during that session. Each CAD line on the relevant layers is then processed. The end points of the lines are then assigned an elevation by an interpolation on the surface you specified, and stored into the DTM database.
INTERFACES WITH DATA CAPTURING DEVICES & SURVEY INSTRUMENTS
The Design Centre module lets you read in and reduce survey data from various sources. We support a number of other data logging programs and total stations. Data may be allocated into one of 128 terrain surfaces or road layers.
AUTOMATIC UPDATING OF PRODUCTION DRAWINGS
Your production drawings are now dynamically updated as you change your design. Using the new powerful sheet file concept, you can generate production drawings with detailed title blocks, north signs, grids, scale bars and much more so that your plotting requires little, if any, CAD editing. The sheet files can be created or edited using normal CAD functions in a vastly improved Sheet File Editor.
The Plot Expert takes all the hassle out of creating final drawings. No longer do you have to cut and paste your design into your title block. Our flexible sheet files allow the precise placement of all the design elements in your title block with customizable settings.
AUTOMATED KEY PLAN GENERATION
If you have 100km of highway or a town layout that requires multiple sheets, Civil Designer will generate a key plan to show you where a specific drawing fits in to the whole design with a specified overlap between drawings.
ALL THE CAD FUNCTIONALITY REQUIRED TO PRODUCE FINAL DRAWINGS
All design options take place in the integrated industrial-strength 2D production CAD. All output is directed to a CAD window for preview and enhancement. The CAD functionality allows you to add annotations or details to the final drawing. Full TrueType font support and definable line widths means that you can create professional drawings without an expensive CAD system. For more advanced CAD functions, including 3D drawing, you can add our CAD module to Design Centre.
CUSTOMISE DISPLAY SETTINGS WITH 'WYSIWYG' LOGIC
WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) technology means that the plan that you see while editing is exactly what will be printed on paper. You can quickly customize and adjust what data you want to see (contours, text, styles etc) on your screen and print a copy of it.
GENERATE CONTOURS AND CALCULATE SURFACES
You can generate contours with user-defined intervals, highlighting and labels. In fact, you can even display contours of multiple surfaces simultaneously. You can also calculate the volume of a single surface or the difference in volume between any two of your 128 surfaces
SEAMLESS INTEGRATION
You can view data from other modules on your plan display using a single interface due to the seamless nature of the software. The display is also completely configurable and may be customized to suit individual needs.
