Jeffares & Green Consulting Engineers is the recipient of two prestigious Fulton Awards for their Mkomaas River and Bosmansdam pedestrian bridges. The Mkomaas Pedestrian Bridge is the first prestressed ribbon bridge in Africa and spans 150 metres which is a world record

for this type of bridge. The Bosmansdam Road Bridge won on the basis of its aesthetic appeal. We would like to congratulate Jeffares & Green on their phenomenal achievement and on recently celebrating their 85th anniversary.

Multiple Polylines to DTM
 |
Civil Designer allows you to convert 2D CAD polylines to DTM points. In previous versions you could convert such polylines on a one-by-one basis making working with a contour drawing that has hundreds of polylines a time consuming process. In the upcoming version you will now be able to convert polylines to DTM points on a
|
|
multiple polyline basis where the elevation of each successive polyline is at a given interval from the previous one. This works just like real contours and is really easy to use. Simply indicate two points, a starting elevation and interval and all polylines between these two points are found. The translation to DTM points will work in sequence through these polylines. In this way a complex 2D contour drawing can be converted into a DTM in a mere fraction of the time it used to take.
In addition to the existing individual polylines function is a field that allows you to specify the
spacing between DTM points along each polyline. This prevents getting a mass of unnecessary DTM points.
