New and Improved Features in Civil Designer 6.4
The final testing phase before the release of Civil Designer 6.4 is currently in progress and users can look forward to more than 168 new enhancements to the existing features, offering engineers and designers an impressive array of design and business benefits.
Some of the impressive enhancements in the Water module include multiple pipe layer functionality which allows the capture of pipe layer data according to dimension and material. You can also define and sort your data in a spreadsheet format for improved data presentation.
In the Roads module, an improved Design criteria function warns the user when transition curves are needed on a Horizontal alignment and will suggest transition curve lengths. There is also a Translate Road feature that has been added to the Translate Cross section function, allowing the user to accurately translate his design cross sections to a DTM surface.

Noticeable improvements in the Sewer module include erf-connection functionality. Users can now graphically insert erf connections using the familiar Sewer user interface while the program automatically indicates the lowest point on each erf. The Erf connection database can then be analyzed to report results and warn the user where erf-connections are unable to drain to the main line.
Each module in the new version has been meticulously revamped according to current project developments and in response to requests from the user community. The new features and enhancements will therefore help to increase productivity and optimise design performance.
