Converting multiple CAD polylines to DTM
Civil Designer allows you to convert 2D CAD polylines to DTM points on a
multiple polyline basis where the elevation of each successive polyline is at a given interval from the
previous one. This requires only the selection of two points,
a starting elevation and the chosen interval. All polylines are then found and
the translation to DTM points will work in sequence through all the polylines between the selected points.
In this way a complex 2D contour drawing can be converted into a DTM.
The specification of the spacing between DTM points along each polyline prevents a mass of unnecessary DTM points being generated.
