Recent articles in the press have highlighted the neglect of our water, sewerage, highway and railway
infrastructure systems. As a result, various decision makers have come together to discuss
sustainable solutions and various events have been targeted as part of the response.
|
These include the Water Institute of Southern Africa's (WISA) Biennial Conference as well as the Africa Roads Conference 2008.
According to SAACE's latest Management Information Survey, water and roads infrastructure take up a greater market share across sectors and a greater focus on public infrastructure is reflected in these areas.
Key note speakers at the Roads conference include various representatives from the South African Roads Federation. Knowledge Base will be present at both events to offer sustainable solutions in infrastructure design.

DAM VOLUMES IN SURVEY & TERRAIN
|
The Dam Volumes function in Survey & Terrain now has a reservoir output option allowing the export of dam volumes into the Stormwater Module. This option creates a reservoir file which can be used directly in the reservoir routine in
the Stormwater Module. The data can then be used to calculate the depth and storage arrays for detention pond storage volumes.
