 PRODUCT INFORMATION

Pavement Layer Designer

The latest Civil Designer 6.3 version has a dedicated pavement designer that allows you to create various Pavement libraries containing several manually defined pavement designs. This great time saving tool will help to standardise your layer work services throughout your organisation and ensures greater control on all your road projects.

The Pavement libraries have a symbol for each material type, specified in a CAD symbol file in the Symbols sub directory. When you define the different layers of the Pavement, the program will automatically use the correct symbol according to the TRH4 design criteria. After you have selected your desired pavement design, the layers of the design will automatically be added to the Layers tab in your Template Editor Dialog box.

When generating the cross sections of your road, the defined symbols specified will now be plotted onto your cross section drawing.

The pavement designer is shipped with a number of pavement libraries as specified by the TRH4 design criteria. Each of these libraries contains various pavements that may be changed, edited or customised in order to suit your individual needs.

The Pavement Layer Designer is a user-friendly function that will save you and your team loads of time when completing your road projects.

Watch out for the next Tech Tip on the Pavement Layer Designer for more information on this handy tool!

CUSTOMER SHOWCASE

IT'S ABOUT THE PEOPLE

After spending only a short time in the offices of Engineering Advice & Services, it is obvious that here things are handled very differently. At this company, it's all about the people and the flat management structure ensures that no hierarchy exists in the work place.

"We work right and we work hard," says partner Mark Stemmett who adds that the emphasis is on equality at work. These are not just empty words as a quick glance around the office show that each person has exactly the same office space.
