Features & Functionality

SWMM, in Civil Designer's Storm module, provides an integrated environment for editing study area input data, running hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality simulations, and viewing the results in a variety of formats. SWMM contains a flexible set of hydraulic modeling capabilities used to route runoff and external inflows through the drainage system network of pipes, channels, storage/treatment units and diversion structures. The model also estimates the production of pollutant loads associated with this runoff. SWMM conceptualizes a drainage system as a series of water and material flows between several major environmental compartments including the atmosphere compartment, the land surface compartment, the groundwater compartment and the transport compartment.

The Moroccan 'Plan Azur'

"The 3D view in Civil Designer helped us generate perspectives with land use overlays which allowed planners to understand complex topographic landforms in very little time, minimizing the time needed to physically validate planning products on field inspections."

The Scorpions

We at Knowledge Base believe in the future of South Africa and are convinced that future rests on a system of law and order, education

and healthcare. The Scorpions are the one organisation that has proved effective against organised crime with a success rate of 80%. As such we are passionate about supporting the fight against the decision to disband the Scorpions.

Hugh Glenister is taking the fight to the Constitutional Court on behalf of the people of South Africa on the 20th to 22nd May. He will be faced with monstrous legal costs in doing so, but he is determined to challenge government's decision and to make the government accountable to the voters.

We would like to encourage everyone to oppose the disbandment and to sign the petition. If you also wish to contribute to the legal costs please contact Hugh Glenister on 083 463 3339 or forward your contribution to the Trust Fund set up for this purpose at:
