Infrastructure Design Software Tutorials |

The first of a series of infrastructure design software tutorials presented by Knowledge Base will be released to recipients of the South African Association of Consulting Engineers (SAACE) DVD series. The technical demonstration provides an introductory overview on the latest infrastructure software design functionality and offers the viewer insight into intuitive
|
software design platforms and capabilities.
Viewers are encouraged to comment on the content of the programme in order to ensure that future tutorials continue to meet user requirements.

In an effort to address some of the challenges faced by emerging contractors, FNB and the Construction Industry Development Board (cidb) are working together to provide services and products, inclusive of business management skills training and mentoring to cidb registered contractors, and to continually share information and give guidance to small enterprises that seek financial support.
More positive news is that the South African Construction and Development industry is experiencing phenomenal growth which is set to continue with Government, parastatals and business' intention to spend in excess of R60 billion on capital infrastructure in the next four years. This in turn has spurned huge demand for Engineers, Surveyors and Geo-information practitioners and created an upswing in the market.

Dynamic Simulation using the Turn Module
The Turn module provides simulation functionality for low speed turning manoeuvres of a range of vehicles along a specified tracking path. With Turn you can create track paths, customise and create
your own vehicle libraries, perform tracking functions as well as forward and reverse movements, and also create output graphs. In addition the program has a dynamic simulation which indicates the starting position and direction and then graphically indicates a series of way points. This function allows the vehicle to automatically move to the way points while conforming to its minimum steering angle.
