Knowledge Base Bureau Division

The positive response to our Bureau department has led to the division participating in many exciting ventures since the division's inception. The Bureau recently undertook and completed the task of delivering all the engineering

drawings for the well known Benguela Lubango Road in Angola. The Bureau department handles all infrastructural design projects ranging from data capturing, drafting and sheet file creation through to GIS related assignments.

With the government's intention to increase the country's economic growth rate to 6%, the areas of Road, Port, Rail, Energy and Telecommunications will receive a significant boost placing increased pressure on consulting engineers. The Bureau outsourcing department has been created to alleviate any bottlenecks. Tel: 021 701-1850 to arrange a consultation or visit for more details.

Product News

Water demands can be efficiently defined using Civil Designer's Water Module. In residential areas where reticulation pipelines are fairly evenly distributed, demands can be established according to stand areas.

In these areas it is only necessary to establish total demand in the network using number of people and per capita demand, or the measured consumption for existing networks. The program will automatically assign demands for each node proportionally to the lengths of the adjoining pipes.

In certain cases, parts of the network may have different per area demands. This is the case with low-income suburbs located next to a high-income area. In these instances, total demands should be established individually for each part of the network and the appropriate pipes and nodes should be selected. The software allows the user to select part of the network and then distribute the entered demand exclusively to that section of the network. This procedure can then be repeated for further parts of the network. Additional demands for schools, shops etc can also be manually entered afterwards.
