TRAINING GRANT ASSISTS BEE COMPANIES
Many
of our BEE clients are unaware that they can apply to the
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for a cash grant to help with business development services aimed at improving core
competencies. Civil Designer and AllyCAD training is a business
development service that allows our clients to remain at the
forefront of business and the cash grant could go a long way in
helping to alleviate the cost of the training.
The Black Business Supplier Development Programme (BBSDP) is a
80:20 cost-sharing cash grant incentive scheme that offers
support to black-owned enterprises in South Africa. The scheme
provides such companies with access to business development
services in order to assist them in improving their core
competencies, upgrading managerial capabilities and
restructuring to become more competitive.
Companies that qualify for the grant are majority black-owned
(fifty one per cent or more) with a significant representation
of black managers on their management team. The maximum annual
turnover of companies that qualify for BBSDP grants will however
be limited to R12 million per annum and they should have a
minimum trading history of one year. Companies that apply for
the grant will also be required to comply with commercial
regulatory requirements applicable to their areas of business,
e.g. registration with CIPRO and SARS.
The maximum grant that a single company can qualify for, is
limited to R100 000. A company can apply for multiple projects
provided that the cumulative grant does not exceed R100 000. All
fees related to the rendering of business development services
including travel and subsistence costs will qualify for cost
sharing assistance. Costs for the acquisition of printed
materials and software, which constitute an integral component
of the implementation of a project, will also qualify provided
they do not exceed fifty per cent of the total cost of the
project.

Supplier Development Programme (BBSDP). To download the BBSDP application form,

MAP
IN CIVIL DESIGNER
MAP
uses the industry standard Microsoft Access database for data storage
which enables use of the attribute data via standard reports
and forms. The program allows you to have full control over the
way that themes are displayed as well as the redraw order of
themes. Themes can therefore be created, edited and deleted with
ease.
You can create Point, Line and Region Point themes with full
control over table structures and display attributes. The
program automatically calculates the object length for line
themes, or the object area and perimeter for region themes, and
automatically centres attribute display points in region themes.
To clean up themes, run a consistency check to identify
incorrect regions quickly. You can also use the tidy polygon CAD
function to clean up incoming drawings. Use the thematic mapping
to display themes in an intuitive graphical form for quick
recognition of the spatial relationship between objects.
|
 |
 |
The MAP module allows you to access database information locally
or across your network, and you can work with existing enterprise
data by joining spatial and non-spatial tables in a single
heterogeneous theme. With MAP there is seamless integration with
CAD which allows you to change or update a theme by quickly
adding sub-divisions. This multi-functional program will save
you loads of time and is the ideal resource for all your data
exchange requirements.
