Exporting a Long Section to an ASCII File

This Tech Tip explains how to export a Water long section to an ASCII (CSV) file:

Select the portion of the network that needs to be exported.

Graphical Menu › Select

Left clicking with the mouse on the pipe to select. Hold down the Shift key while left clicking to select multiple pipes.

When the pipes are selected the highlighted pipes will be shown in pink (using default colours)

Once the pipe is selected, right click with the mouse

A menu will appear.

Select Export Long Section.



 

The Save As dialog will appear, type in a file name for the new file and click Save.

The new file can now be edited in Microsoft Office Excel if required.
