Creating the Mass Haul Sheetfile
No mass haul sheetfile is provided with Civil
Designer, so the Single Carriageway longsection
sheetfile will be modified. A Mass Haul diagram is a
long section plotted from an ASCII file
Plot Menu › Sheet File Editor

Click on the Load button to load the
sheetfile.

By default, the sheetfiles are stored in the following folder:

Select the Single Carriageway Longsection.sht file.

Make the following changes:

Click OK to continue.

Click Yes to continue.

Select a colour for the long section frame.
Click on the Titles Tab (bottom row)

the Section Area Height to 6500 and Detail
Area Height value to 450.

step is to modify the G-Text option, click on the
G-Text Tab (bottom row)

Tab (top row)

Calculating Mass Haul Quantities
Area/Volume Menu › Masshaul Volume

Make sure Spreadsheet output is selected.
Click OK to continue.

Specify a file name for the ASCII file.

Click on the Print Results button to finish calculations.
Plotting the Mass Haul Diagram
Plot Menu ► Generate

Select the sheetfile that was previously created.
Click Next to continue.

Select Extract from ASCII file, select the file created when
calculating the Mass Haul volumes. Make the other
changes as shown above.
Click Next to continue.
The Mass Haul Diagram will be generated. |
