Lines From CAD
This function is used when you have CAD lines on top
of your DTM model, and you want the DTM lines and points
included in the model to coincide with the CAD lines. The
CAD lines could be from a drawing attached to the
project or simply drafting completed during that
session. |
Terrain Mode
Model Menu › Lines from CAD

| Convert CAD lines on visible layers |

| Interpolate from |
Choose the DTM surface from which new
points will have their elevations interpolated. |
| Store on surface |
Choose the DTM surface onto which new
points will be stored. |
| Point name |
Type in a name that will be given to
new points. |
| Create DTM lines as breaklines |

drawn between points coinciding with CAD lines. |
| Create DTM lines as feature lines |

lines drawn between points coinciding with CAD lines. |

We will use the CAD to Lines function
to convert the Red CAD line to DTM points joined with
breaklines.

Once the function is complete you can see the breaklines below the CAD
lines. Switching off the drawing, and displaying the
new surface (surface 2) you can see the new
interpolated points and breaklines.
