Changing Multiple Hatches - Globally

This tech tip explains how to change multiple hatches.

Using Selection Filters

This is done via the Edit Menu › Selection Filters...

Click on the Properties Tab and make the following changes:

Drag a box over the entire drawing, using the mouse cursor (click on the top left hand corner, with the left mouse button pressed, drag a box to the lower right corner, the hatch pattern/s will be selected).

Please note: You can't select hatches individually and add to the selection set.

Changing the Hatch Pattern

Select a new hatch pattern.

This is done via the Annotate Menu › Enter Hatch/Solid Fill

Select a new Hatch Pattern, the hatch patterns can be viewed by clicking on the PreView patterns button.

Once the selection has been made, click on the Apply button.

In the Apply What? dialog, you have the option to change All or only the style, pen or scale of the Hatch Pattern.

Click OK once the selection has been made.

All the selected Hatches will now be updated to the new Hatch Pattern.

NB: Once you have modified the hatch, make sure that the Selection Filters are reset. This is done by clicking on the Objects Tab on the Select dialog and then pressing the Filter Reset button.

Click on the Close button once reset.
