What is Civil Designer?
Civil Designer consists of a suite of fully interactive
design modules that combine to form an integrated data
gathering, drawing, surface modeling and design system
for civil engineering infrastructure design and
planning.
Why Choose Civil Designer?
A TRULY INTEGRATED DESIGN
PLATFORM: Seamless
interaction and compatibility between your design tools
Civil Designer has a consistent interface that allows
you to work more quickly and intuitively. It offers you
the benefits of working in a visual design environment
with a seamless interaction between the design tools for
even greater productivity.
For example, you can load a cadastral drawing of a new
housing development, import ASCII data from the
topographical survey and generate the DTM. Now you can
switch on the contour display or the slope shading. When
the design module needs an elevation it simply queries
the DTM without any effort from you.
Similarly, you can produce plans with multiple services
overlaid on the cadastral and terrain data. You can also
calculate where services may clash or are within a
certain distance of each other in a matter of seconds.
The Civil Designer modules use Design Centre to
communicate with each other and with you, the user.
There is little inter-dependency between different
routines in the suite. You can run any routine at any
time. This means that you have complete freedom and
flexibility to decide how to handle your tasks.
Every routine shares a common data structure and there
are facilities to manipulate data from the basic
collection stages all the way through to final contract
drawings. This seamless integration between the design
tools results in even greater productivity.
THE COMPLETE SOLUTION: A comprehensive design program - not just
a design or draughting tool
Civil Designer will handle the whole process from
initial field work through digital terrain model
creation and editing, contour generation, bulk
earthworks, infrastructure design, draughting and
plotting. You no longer have to transfer the data
between different design programs, in Civil Designer
each design module will share its data with the other
modules when required. The program consists of the
following specialised modules:
With Civil Designer, there is no need to tie up an
expensive CAD workstation. The program is a complete
design environment & creates your final drawings for
you. The industrial-strength CAD engine allows you to
display backdrop drawings or bitmaps with ease, and uses
CAD functions to define the design elements. In
addition, the program supports multiple large bitmaps
such as aerial survey photographs or orthophotos as
backdrops. Even high level presentations are handled
with ease, as bitmaps, 3D views and 3D drive through's
give you the edge on your competition.
With Civil Designer all your design tasks will be
faster and easier, and you will be able to do so much
more than before.
